Exploring the Bitter End Yacht Club Upon arriving at The Bitter End, Dave and Patricia were welcomed by an array of facilities catering to sailors and enthusiasts. From spacious restrooms with showers to a scenic quarterdeck offering breathtaking views, the club’s attention to detail truly shines. The Scavenger Hunt Experience In search of unique finds, Dave and Patricia joined a scavenger hunt organized by the yacht club. Armed with an interesting list of items, the couple traversed various areas but faced their first challenge – identifying certain objects. As they ventured deeper into the island, they encountered not only a mix of easy-to-find items but also some challenging ones like finding a specific set of stairs going into the water. The Nature Hike Adventure Following a quick lunch, Patricia and Dave embarked on a guided nature hike to further explore their surroundings. While the trailhead proved elusive at first, they discovered stunning sites during their quest. Upon reaching the summit, they marveled at the incredible ocean views. We are forced to leave Key West with a cold front approaching. One day of great sailing followed by two more in rough seas. Follow our journey as we bring Bad Kitty back from Grenada to our home in Texas to finish her refit.

We bought a boat without a sea trial because it was buried in the back of the yard. Spending two huricane seasons on the hard we did all we could to recondition the boat for the passage. Now its time to head out. Not all the systems tested but if it is going to happen it will happen out there.
