Leaving Kioni, Greece, the coolest place we've ever been by boat, we head for the Gulf of Corinth, on our way to cross over to the Aegean side of the Greek Islands.
Have you been hit by lightning in a boat? We get cracking with "The Kraken", our Code 0, then get stuck in the middle of lightning storms in the sea at night. The beginning of our 200 nautical mile sail to Java and Krakatoa is turning out to be a test of s...
While in Mykonos, Greece we get an opportunity to do a walkthrough of Hallberg Rassy 49 "Big Blue". This is a continuation of our occasional series aimed at choosing a relatively affordable bluewater cruising sailboat.
We have to make a 180 mile run across open ocean, but strong northwesterly winds are pummelling the coast, and are predicted to continue. Time is running out, we have to get to Jakarta to renew our visas. So there's only one thing for it...
