Are we gonna make it to Black Point? We left our home at Black Cay in the Exumas and started making our way up the Exumas to head back to the US. But there wasn't enough wind and with no motor we flew the gennaker. We had to cross at Dotham Cut at the righ...
This was a bit of a rough time in our sailing journey amidst the pandemic in April 2020. When the country you're in is urging all cruisers to go home, you're not allowed on land or to fish anymore bittersweet decisions happen. We really didn't know where t...
Another week in the Exumas and we have no complaints! We sailed from Sampson Cay to Black Point to do laundry and pick up some of the famous coconut bread everyone recommended to us. From there, we headed down to Musha Cay, where we snorkeled some of the b...

The key to staying happy during a 5 Day Lockdown on our small 33ft sailboat is to stay busy. Thus tearing apart the Yanmar 2GM diesel engine to try to see what's really wrong with it. All the uncertainties of the world during the pandemic make it so we are...
Join us while we wait out our first big blow in the Bahamas. With 40kn+ winds and very few protected coves to choose from- this is how we stay safe! Once things cleared up, we explored Staniel Cay.🌴

Cruising full time on a sailboat teaches a lot about nature, people, and ourselves. But one lesson we’ve learned over the years is more important than any other: you gotta go with the flow....in this case, go where the wind blows. This week we also conti...
I've never been that relieved to leave a place and sail back to our Bahamian home at Black Cay in the Exumas. With stricter rules by the day, visits by police boats we try to enjoy our time here with Sailing Vinyasa. The frisbee games and spearfishing cont...
Fixing a busted speed measurer and start battery this week! It’s always something when you live on a sailboat. 😂
Luckily, one was an easy fix and the other we were able to arrange a replacement delivery while we waited out a cold front on the dock. ...
This is our biggest lobster catch ever. The last day of the spiny lobster fishing season in the Bahamas was excellent. Plus now we had some provisions of seafood to go to Georgetown further South in the Exumas. It was our first time back in a town since th...
We knew that cruising during a pandemic would obviously bring a much different experience than visiting tourist hot spots pre-covid. Seeing it for ourself in Nassau where we visited destinations that are normally packed with people, having our windlass br...
