STOP THE ROLL! ⚓ Testing Flop Stoppers + Alaska Airlines 737 Sim Training

If you’ve ever spent a sleepless night in a "rolly" anchorage, this episode is for you! This week on Noeta, we finally break out the Flop Stopper arms to see if they can handle a restless Sea of Cortez swell.

It’s a learning process, and after our first test, we realized the original rigging needed a serious upgrade. We take you along to source new line and hardware in Mexico, then head back to the dock for a full re-rig and assembly. Alexa walks you through a step-by-step demonstration on how to assemble a flop stopper and the best way to deploy them to keep your trawler stable.

But the stabilization wasn't just happening on the water! Pat headed back to Seattle for his Alaska Airlines recurrent training. We’re taking you inside the Boeing 737 flight simulator for a rare look at how commercial pilots stay sharp and handle emergency procedures.

In This Episode:

First Test: Deploying flop stopper arms in a rolly anchorage.

The Upgrade: Sourcing hardware and re-rigging the stabilization system.

Step-by-Step DIY: How to assemble and rig a Flop Stopper.

Pilot Life: Inside the 737 Simulator for Pat's recurrent training.
