S4, Ep43 Installing Solar Power on a 1988 Liveaboard Sailboat — Part 1
After building a solar arch for our 1988 Irwin MKIII, we now finally get to start wiring the battery and new Victron equipment into the solar power system. Tim's explanation of his equipment choices and thinking b ehind how the system will work is insightful for others thinking about updating their electrical system on their boat as well. But of course, like any boat project, we get a little distracted by some other pesky issues on the boat in the middle of the wiring project that absolutely have to get done. We can't start our world cruising adventures until we complete these last few big projects; it's our final push!
