S1E33. Tracking Down Boat Smells & Fixing What Matters | Bluewater Sailboat Refit
Refitting a bluewater sailboat is never just about tools and parts — it’s about patience, persistence, and showing up even on the frustrating days. In this episode, we dive into the real side of liveaboard boat life, tackling small but important projects while chasing down a stubborn mystery smell, reorganizing tight spaces, changing oil, and planning the next big steps toward getting this boat back under sail.
This is an honest look at what it’s like preparing a cruising sailboat for future offshore adventures. No highlight reels — just real boat work, tight quarters, time and money stress, and the small victories that keep the dream alive. We also share updates on the transmission, engine work, upcoming structural projects, and what needs to happen before we can finally get sailing again.
