This video explains a basic man-overboard recovery procedure, involving a reach-away, reach-back process. I like this procedure for its simplicity. Other MOB recovery procedures have their own benefits which I hope to cover in followup videos. Note the video shows leaving the MOB to windward, note that ASA and others advise leaving the MOB to leeward, so you can decide what works for you – but never go near a luffing sail.
