Ragged Islands, 2021
The Jumentos and Ragged Islands are an isolated island chain in the Bahamas arcing for about 70 miles generally southwards and situated south of the southeast end of the Exuma chain. The current resident population of the whole island chain is 56 people, all living in Duncantown on Ragged Island. There are no hotels here. Only one store, which has much less than is in our kitchen. But the few people here are friendly, hard working and a joy to meet. We sail to this remote area and spend some time here with one week stretching into two or three.
The Meri Crew
The Meri Crew: Travel adventure on the high seas, islands, bays, rivers, etc. with Doug, Mj and our family and friends aboard Sailing Vessel Frolic, our new sailing catamaran. We have moved on from our beloved 41' sailboat, Meri, but are still cruising to new places and experiencing new things. For 2024 we will finish up the Eastern Caribbean. Then maybe head north to Nova Scotia or Newfoundland again in the summer, or if things go well we may sail all the way around Newfoundland. All plans right now are still very loose because, well that is just how we like to travel and live. There are so many places near and far we have not been yet. Sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, kayaking, yoga, gunk holing, cooking, kiteboarding, windsurfing and wing foiling are staples while we are aboard Frolic. Other times we love water skiing, snowboarding and snow skiing, flying, knitting and other stuff.

Cruising South Greenland

Denali!
We spent more time in Denali National Park than anywhere else in Alaska. We did hardly anything the average Denali tourist does and the average Denali tourist does hardly anything we did.
Alaska Rivers, Lakes, Sea and Mountains
We are having such a blast this summer in Alaska. We got up close with brown bears. We spent time in interior lakes. We went out fishing in Prince William Sound. And we headed for the high country to see "The Great One".
