Hi Everyone - We are a couple who gave it all up to be free of ‘day to day expectations and routines’ we as people grow up to believe is a ‘normal lifestyle’. The sea makes us feel free, so we followed the dream to move home from our farm in South Africa to a sailing vessel, a catamaran we call IMPI - and IMPI has been our floating home covering much of the globe over the past 10 years sailing full time. We are about INSPIRATION AND POSITIVE VIBES and much of what we do and share is about YOU, the viewers - OUR MISSION to interact with you all and make ourselves available to assist you as you make your dream become reality. We share beautiful places, beautiful people, our lifestyle and of course, for sailors, ANIMAL WELFARE, we share a ton of sailing experiences the world over, and we drop tips into many of our videos showing how we read weather at sea,how we navigate safely, how we maintain our boat and more. PART 1 of a 2 part series – Sailing With A Heart !
You may have heard of the ABANDONED ISLAND DOG called MOOSE!
Impi is sailing around the world and New Caledonia has become our most ‘returned to country’, not only for its beauty and amazing friendships forged, but also largely because of one abandoned island dog called Moose (Mouss).
We did a video of our discovery of Moose after friends Carolin and Rob from New Zealand told us about him – you can see that video here:

We sailed from New Zealand back to New Caledonia – that passage can be seen here:
we then sailed back for a 2nd season to find Moose really struggling for survival after getting ‘heart worm’. We appealed to our YouTube community to help and this partly financed a Flying Vet called Guy Kane to fly in treat him.

Our 3rd season is what this video is all about – and as with all living things we eventually become old and Moose is no exception to the rule.
The dilemma we now face is to discover when the appropriate time would be to remove Moose from his island and persuade the authorities to allow him to be moved to a land based home.
We have debated this issue with some authorities here in New Caledonia and were advised that after numerous attempts to remove Moose from his island – they eventually decided to leave him there because he displayed such an unwillingness to go!
Now we have engaged Guy Kane, the flying vet who regularly treats Moose against pain to ask for his opinion.
We hope this movie will mean something to you all – Moose certainly is a very unique and special dog and considering his future really is one that tugs on our heartstrings.
Folks – Impi is engaged in as many ‘care projects’ as possible. We therefore kindly ask for you to subscribe to our channel so we are taken more seriously when it comes to our care projects.
We are not a couple who search for numbers for ‘a pat on the back’ – we do not earn one cent from our social media platform – every cent goes into welfare.
