It’s one of those experiences you can’t expect as a traveler, but you always dream of. A local family decides to adopt you and treat you like family. Well, here in Palmerston it’s sort of a tradition. Each sailor that decides to make their way to this remote atoll is given a mooring ball and adopted by locals for their stay. It is an incredible service and a wonderful experience.
