MOSSEL BAY MAGIC! DRIFTING Ep. 18
MOSSEL BAY MAGIC! It's time to move on!
Leaving Simonstown, our home for 7 months during lock down, is not that easy though with two weather systems to contend with! But we make the best passage plan for our family and set sail for Mossel Bay.
We round Cape Aghulas where two oceans meet and conditions are absolutely perfect, so we hoist our spinnaker.
On arriving in Mossel Bay harbour, we find it full of fishing boats, we manage to tuck up safely on the moorings. We do a bit of historical exploring and check out Dias Museum and St Blaize Cave, the point of human origin.
We take full advantage of the spring low tide for some mussel harvesting and Charlotte cooks up a delicious Thai mussel soup!
