In this episode, we start where we left off… the end of day two of our 500 nautical mile test sail of the Kraken 50, in the middle of the Sea of Marmara. In true Mediterranean sailing style, the wind drops out… shortly followed by gusts! We get walloped with 30 knots of wind coming into anchor… very unexpected especially when we were wrapping up for the day!
The next day we hoist the sails early again and much to Adams delight, he gets asked if he wants to drive the boat! Not only is this his dream come true but he then hits the highest speed record of the trip thus far at 12 knots… he is however racing himself. We have a fantastic morning of sailing and notice a few quirks of the Kraken that is quite unique compared to other boats! This boat continues to surprise us…
