I`m not rich and had to find a way to pay for my dream. So I ignored the 1000 sub threshold and decided on a different fundraising idea and put together a sponsorship deck.
`Because there are many people like me who have a dream but not the personal wealth to realise it, maybe my experience and approach will encourage and maybe even help. I have sunk all of my own money and cash into this project, but knew that it was insufficient so I had to approach my dream as a business not as a hobby.
I have been fundraising and procuring sponsors for 55 years ( started when I was 12), and the first 52 was for others ( Charity). I have raised ten`s millions of dollars personally and with teams I have led, and 100,000`s of million dollars as part of larger teams. I have dozens of people in recent years raise money for their sponsored challenges and have organised in the last ten years over a 100 galas and sporting events procuring sponsors for them all.
