We’re on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, RV camping in the Hoh Rainforest. I’ve got to tell you though… it feels like we’re in Jurassic Park. All the plants and trees are HUMONGOUS. The vegetation is super-dense. Despite continually checking my rearview for a pursuing, “closer than it appears” T-Rex, I have not yet spotted any dinosaurs – but I remain diligently alert.
This place is GORGEOUS! After being in the desert for months on end, it feels so good to finally be surrounded by trees again. I didn’t realize how much I’d miss the greenery and hills, but I have a real sense of relief being back in the forest.
It’s not just any forest – and a rainforest! That’s nuts. I didn’t know that there were even rainforests in the USA, but here we are – boondocking the RV beneath a canopy of 300ft tall trees within a real, honest-to-goodness rainforest.
Without a doubt, the Olympic Peninsula is one of our favorite places we’ve visited so far!
