Compass fix - Will it last?
I used waterproof grease to stop rain water ruining my headlining.
I had already used silicone to seal around the compass hole, but I noticed water was coming in from around the inside of the compass itself.
Further investigation revealed that some of the sealant used around the globe of the compass was no longer doing it's job.
Since the waterproof grease is able to stop my moving stern gland from leaking, I figured it could stop water leaking through this none moving unit.
But will it last? Will I be taking it apart again soon?
