There is a STORM chasing us across the ocean, we need to SAIL FAST to out-run it but we still get hit by 40 knots of wind on a PITCH BLACK NIGHT AT SEA. There is no-where to hide when sailing offshore, hundreds of miles from land. Keeping Florence moving fast requires lots of sail changes, from storm jib, to staysail, to genoa and reefs in and out of the mainsail. This episode really shares what we have to do onboard to sail across an ocean.
We have been sailing around the world for over 5 years after setting off from England in 2016 on board our 37ft sail boat Florence.
