Power management aboard a boat is always a challenge. For us the challenge is amplified because of the high energy demands of our cameras, computers, batteries, and various filming equipment that we require to produce our ongoing travel video series.

Also, it’s not just “power” in itself that we require, but also CLEAN power. Our Macbook Pro computers require PURE SINE WAVE power in order to operate correctly, and this solar generator provides that as well with it’s built in pure sine wave inverter.

The way we use our Inergy solar generator is by having it capture the extra solar power that our AGM battery bank cannot absorb after it reaches full capacity for the day. To do this, we simply plug the solar generator into one of our 12v volt outlets once our boat batteries are topped off, and our Inergy Solar Generator catches all the additional power that we otherwise would not be able to take advantage of.

We use our Inergy Solar Generator to run our MANY battery chargers, laptops, vacuum cleaner, electric shaver, ipad, and MUCH more. Basically if the device runs on either 12v or 110v – this solar generator will power it, charge it, or run it.
