“Absolutely must see.” That’s how I’d describe Carlsbad Caverns. Special thanks to my lovely Wife for dragging me to this place. I’m always such a skeptic when it comes to trekking across the country to go explore a large hole in the ground, but this hole in the ground is one that’s well worth the trek.
I will say this – if I ever do this again I’ll be sure to bring along a supply of snacks… I almost died in there from a lack of convenient snackage. I’ll also prepare myself physically, particularly my gluteus region, for enduring the tremendous ascent back out of the cavern. Going down into the cavern was a piece of cake, but coming back up… wow. Felt like I did a thousand squats afterwards. My butt still hurts. Still – totally worth it!
Carlsbad Caverns was incredible!
