Davy and I (Erica) have recently upgraded to a hurricane damaged catamaran! This new chapter is going to push us in very different ways. From repairing fibreglass, fixing electronics, cleaning up the cosmetics and many many more jobs, this new phase of our adventure is going to be very exciting. We are looking forward to getting Barefoot 2.0 up to cruising standards! In this episode of Barefoot Sail and Dive we work on our rudders a little bit more. Can we recover them?? There is way more hidden damage inside them than we thought!
We also show you a little bit of our typical day here in Luperon. There are many events that go on here, as well as helping out our friends who are planning on heading east.
Bruce Van Sant came for a visit to the marina Las Velas for a talk about the book he wrote “The Thornless Passage” all about heading east. He is a wealth of knowledge and even though we are not planning on heading south it was interesting to hear his advice first hand.
