Sailing from Yamba to the Gold Coast means passing our hometown, Byron Bay AND! we actually got to see it this time…
The massive Australian floods are settling. After a skate to the Yamba Bar, we are happy to see the crossing conditions have eased and it looks safe to go. We set off from Iluka in the early morning, heading north towards the Gold Coast. We of course still need to keep an eager eye out for any remaining debris that has been swept out to sea following the floods. We are lucky enough to catch a byron bay sunset before settling in for a beautiful night sail under the full moon. Waking up for sunrise on the Gold Coast.
Thinking of getting some camera gear? This is what we use and would highly recommend these products. If you purchase through these links we will get a small commission which really helps us to keep creating more content like this. Thank you,
Slim & Soph xx
