BIRTHDAY IN BAJA! 🐳 Gray Whales, 300-Year-Old Missions & Hosting Guests on a Nordhavn

It’s birthday week for Alexa! In this action-packed episode of Noeta, we’re joined by our friends John and Molly, who flew into Loreto to experience the best of Baja California Sur. From the remote anchorages of the Sea of Cortez to the rugged mountains of the Sierra de la Giganta, we’re packing four days of "bucket list" adventures into one celebration.

We kick things off by pulling the hook and heading out for some island hopping, showing our guests the reality of liveaboard life. But the real magic happens when we leave the dock behind. We travel across the Baja Peninsula to the Pacific side for a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with the friendly Gray Whales of Baja. Then, we head into the mountains to visit the stunning San Javier Mission, a 300-year-old Jesuit treasure hidden in the desert.

Back on the boat, Pat pulls off the ultimate birthday surprise, transforming Noeta into a celebration suite. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to host friends on a 60-ton expedition trawler or wanted to see the diversity of the Baja landscape, this video is for you!

In This Episode:

Gray Whale Encounters: Getting up close with the famous friendly whales of Baja.

San Javier Mission: Exploring the history of the Jesuit Missions in Mexico.

Birthday Surprise: Pat’s secret plan to decorate the boat for Alexa.

Baja Road Trip: Taking a break from the water to explore the Sierra de la Giganta mountains.

Trawler Life: Balancing adventure, maintenance, and celebration in the Sea of Cortez.
