We’re releasing this video on Bilge pumps from the Patreon site as it’s an important item to check especially if you’re having to leave your boat for long periods.
Bilge Pumps are items that are often forgotten but vital when needed, when did you last check yours?
We have three pumps on Fair Isle: a hand bellows type pump; an electric pump and a mechanical pump driven by the engine.
We check them over, replace the automatic switch mechanism on the electric pump & talk about best wiring practices aboard. Switch problems are very common with these pumps so make sure you check yours!
