A question we are often asked is if we are lonely living and traveling full-time on a sailboat? Is it difficult to be without family and a grounded community?? In our experience the sailing community has been one of the biggest draws to this lifestyle, as they say friends are the family you choose! We are amazed at how many times we run into friends after years and thousands of miles and pick right off where we left.
In this episode we set off on an ordinary sail between islands in the San Blas. Seas are up between islands and we have great sailing wind. We are surprised to be hailed on the radio by Andy and Charlie from Avalon, long time friends from back in our Covid lockdown at TTYC. They have recently sailing in from Trinidad and the next think you know the wild Aussies are circling around us in their 55ft performance cat. Fun to be sailing so close together!
We drop the hook in an other stunning anchorage and head into the beach with friends. So good to be reunited!
