18-08_Finally Summer Again (sailing ZERO)

Ahoy,
what a great feeling to round Lands End and enter the huge bay of Cabo San Lucas. Of course the commercial circus with tons of jet skies and party boats was swirling around us like flies but Cabo has a few quiet spots as well and we were up to find them.

The change of the conditions couldn’t be any clearer. The moment we rounded that rock it was summer. The cold wind of the pacific is blocked by the mountains. The water is warmer even though it’s only the far entrance of the sea of cortez. All of a sudden we could spend ages in the water and Fay couldn’t get enough of it.

But because Cabo is Cabo, we only stayed a few days. Enough to explore beaches and city, stock up with fresh veggies and leave before you lose your temper to one of the panga captains or jet skies passing by with full speed just an arms length away from your boat. So we pulled the hook and entered the SEA OF CORTEZ..
