It’s been a big week with the bi-annual ROLEX Fastnet Race starting last Sunday from Cowes on the Isle Of Wight, and tracking around the Fastnet Rock off the coast of Ireland, and this time finishing in Cherbourg in France.
Over 330 boats started into big head winds, and an angry tide in the Soulent.
One of the highlights was the first outing for the big Russian owned, Club Swan 1 2 5, SKORPIOS which is 140 Feet overall.

The first boat home in France fittingly in the RORC ROLEX Fastnet, was the huge Ulteem, Edmund De Rothschild sailed by the top French sailors, Frank Cammas and Charles Caudrelier, both Volvo Ocean Race winners.,
11th Hour Racing brought their new Imoca 60 out of its shed. It is the first built especially to accommodate a full crew, and compete in The Ocean Race.
Thomas Coville and his crew on SODEBO, another Ulteem Trymaran, were ready for the Rolex Fastnet, and they were always in the top end of the fleet.
