Day One of the first SailGP in Bermuda was put forward by a day, and the results were not announced. Friday’s races were played Saturday, and we have action from Day 2, Sunday, when all the action happened.
Nathan Outteridge the Aussie skipper of team Japan, misjudged a Port Starboard tack, and collided the the USA boat skippered by Aussie Jimmy Spithill.
He had to retire as the shroud cut the bough of his Japanese boat.

Then later Jimmy’s Team USA capsized.
Sir Ben Ainslie then defeated the Australian’s and the French in the deciding race.
Now on to Italy.
The annual Sail Port Stephens Regatta in Australia had a big fleet happily racing in this iconic spot.
Armell Le Clerk saw his 104 Foot foiling trimaran, Banque Populair Eleven, launched after a huge build programme. This is a contender for the Jules Vern round the world sailing record.
The foils are all new and a huge amount of new technology went into their build.
The FINN Gold Cup is coming next week to Porto in Portugal.
And if you hanker for the Caribbean sailing lifestyle, then the Antigua Race Week has been rescheduled to twenty, twenty two.
