NEWSFLASH: Last night, CORUM L’Épargne was dismasted 80 miles from Audierne, in the southwest of Brittany. The damage occurred at around 1:30 am, just over 12 hours after the start of the Azimut 48H from Lorient. The boat had just passed the second course mark and was sailing in manageable conditions, with 25 knots of wind and heavy seas. The crew, made up of Nicolas Troussel and Benjamin Schwartz and Tanguy Conq, the mediaman, are doing well and did not request assistance. Race management immediately informed the other competitors in order to avoid any collision.
