Often, it’s about the simple moments—short sails to the next bay, waiting out weather, reparing our Autohelm 2000, going for a hike, and enjoying the slow rhythm of life on the water. This is the reality of the full-time sailing lifestyle, and honestly, we love these kinds of days just as much as the big, exciting ones.

In this episode, we take you along for one of those quieter days aboard, where we move to a new anchorage, settle in, and take in the beauty of our surroundings. With our dogs on board, sailing with pets always means planning time for them to stretch their legs, so we head ashore for a hike along the Costa Brava, exploring the rugged coastline of Spain by sailboat.

Together, we face the unique dynamics and challenges of sailing as a couple, balancing off-grid life, sustainable sailing, and the demands of long-term cruising.

Hi, my name is Nike. With my videos I would like to inspire others to grab hold of their dreams and make them reality. I have always been drawn to the ocean and fascinated by the humbling experience of living close to nature. I had a faint idea that I was made for another lofe than the one that the people around me expected me to live. One day, I dared to follow this instinct and bought a neglected sailboat in Panama that I named KARL. My life turned into a wild rollercoaster of challenges that pushed me way beyond my comfort zone and moments of unknown bliss and inner peace. Over the past years, I had to learn many new skills and tunred my old silboat into a once again sea worthy vessel.
