Sailing 330 Islands in Fiji... There's Got To Be One Just For Us | Episode 328
Welcome back to another episode of WE|Sail.
Fiji has over 330 islands scattered across 750,000 square miles of the South Pacific—about half the size of the continental United States, but the actual land? Just over 7,000 square miles. The rest is all water, so having a boat is a plus in these parts. We won’t see them all, but we’re damn well going to try.
In this episode, we start our journey island-hopping through Fiji with our friends on a motor trawler, navigate narrow passes, discover vibrant reefs teeming with life, and find our own private island (okay, it’s a sandbar… but it’s ours for a few hours). From Yellow Banded Sweetlips to Pacific Regal Blue Tangs, the underwater world here is like watching a movie in real life.
This is what seven years of full-time sailing has been building toward—exploring some of the most remote and beautiful anchorages in the South Pacific, one island at a time.
