We Have Nowhere To Go! | Ch 6 E 1

After two and a half years of blood, sweat, and tears poured into their sailboat’s restoration, Wayward Life Sailing is finally back on the water. The feeling of freedom as they sail once again is overwhelming, but they are far from done with their renovation process.

Solve the Major Problem

However, a large problem rears its head. The team must solve it before they can truly enjoy their newly restored sailboat. They need to find a slip in their marina where they can finish all their pending projects.

The Search for an Island

In search of a place where they could continue working on the boat, Wayward Life Sailing heads to a small island outside Nimo called Sein. They had heard that there was a dock available with a stay limit of 14 days. Although there was no electricity or water supply at the dock, it was their best bet for continuing restoration projects without further delay.

Limitations on Sein Island

Their time on Sein Island isn’t perfect, as they soon realize that it’s not an ideal location to carry out boat projects. Access to the city is limited, and essential supplies needed for their restoration process may be difficult to get.

Enjoying Time on the Island

Despite this minor setback, Wayward Life Sailing still decides to enjoy a few days on Sein island before heading back to face reality. They know that their search for a slip and other boat projects won’t wait.

The Search Continues

With time running out on Sein Island, they realize that their only chance is to find a slip at the nearest marina. However, it won’t be easy as several boats are occupying every space available, and finding a spot may prove difficult.

Racing to Alaska

At the marina, they come across an impressive sailboat crew preparing for the annual Race to Alaska. The event entails sailing from Port Townsend all the way to Alaska without using any engines. The participants use a unique rowing mechanism installed at the back of their boats to power themselves through the race.

The Final Challenge

With their time on Sein Island almost up, Wayward Life Sailing makes a mad dash to Nimo in search of an available slip. After numerous setbacks and a lot of waiting around, they are finally successful!

The Final Piece

Their arrival at the marina couldn’t have been timelier. With limited headroom left on their boat and plans to start traveling soon, this slip will provide them with much-needed space and time to finish their projects.

Rounding the Bases

The final pieces are falling into place for Wayward Life Sailing as they continue on their journey. They can now focus on completing the projects, enjoy some rest and relaxation before taking to the seas once again.

A Look Ahead

Wayward Life Sailing is determined to finish what they started with their sailboat and embark on a new adventure. This episode’s success marks another victory for this adventurous couple, reminding viewers of the importance of never giving up and staying dedicated in any journey.

Don’t Miss Out

Stay tuned for updates on Wayward Life Sailing as they take their newly restored sailboat through its final tests, upgrades, and inspections. Their story is a testament to hard work and determination in accomplishing dreams.
