The main highlight of this adventure is the incredible diving that takes place right next to South Fakarava. Despite not carrying dive gear on board, our friends at Delos step in and provide an unforgettable diving experience.
A Journey into a Thriving Underwater Ecosystem
Dive master Brian from Delos takes the Elixir Voyage crew diving to witness the incredible grouper spawning event, which only happens on a specific full moon cycle. Thousands of spotted groupers gather in the pass ready for an epic spawning event that’s unlike anything seen elsewhere.
Exploring Fakarava – A Slow, Desert Island Life
Aside from the exhilarating diving experiences, there’s much more to discover on the Fakarava Atoll. The islands offer a glimpse into what it might be like to live in a remote desert island paradise.

We're currently making out way through the Tuamotus, which are the largest chain of atolls in the world.
In this episode, we're anchored in the south pass of Fakarava, a world class dive site, and home to the famous wall of sharks. It's also the time of year when the groupers spawn, which was a pretty impressive sight.
This was our first proper diving experience, and a massive thanks to Brian from SV Delos for making it happen!
