http://tulasendlesssummer.com for more of our live aboard boat life and simple systems we use aboard. Here is a quick overview of the solar system we use aboard our trawler “Neverland”. We are anchored most of the time and make 80%-90% of our electricity with the PV panels. The rest of our electricity is supplemented with our 2k watt honda generator. Our solar system includes the panels and mounting structure, charge controller, battery bank, and dc/ac panel as well as an inverter to convert solar energy into AC electric.
