Checkers is our beautiful boat and the heart of our channel. When we bought her in Tahiti, we believed her sails were in decent condition. But once we got underway, it became painfully clear: they’re not just tired—they’re rotten. Torn, soft, and barely holding shape. We’ve done everything we can to nurse them along, but they’re beyond saving.
This fundraiser is about giving Checkers the sails she deserves. We’ve already poured a huge amount into getting her seaworthy—gear, repairs, and the kind of hands-on fixes that only happen when you live aboard full-time. But this next step is bigger than us.

The Sailing Brothers
No qualifications, learnt by sailing. From supermarket workers to full time sailors. Sailing a small boat around the world We are two brothers/siblings who love sailing, adventuring, exploring and believe you don't have to be rolling in money to live your dreams Our promise to ourselves when we first started making YouTube videos was to keep it honest and we still keep to this today. Whatever happens goes into the videos whether we laugh, cringe or cry We started off from South Wales in the UK. In 2021 we circumnavigated the United Kingdom and we have carried on sailing since then. We live on our boat all year round a Rival 34, 1979.
