Sailing The Fierce West Coast Of NZ / Sailing Around NZ Pt 19 Ep164

Sailing The Fierce West Coast Of NZ / Sailing Around NZ Pt 19

In this episode, join the brothers on their epic journey as they sail along the rugged and awe-inspiring west coast of New Zealand. This leg of their voyage is not for the faint-hearted, as they tackle challenging waves and conditions that test both their skills and determination. As the winds pick up to over 30 knots with gusts blowing through, these seasoned sailors show just how tough they can be in some of Mother Nature’s wildest offerings. While facing these difficult circumstances, they find solace in their unyielding camaraderie and love for the sport. Tackling The Tip Of New Zealand The crew knows they must round Cape Farewell, where two oceans collide, by the early hours of tomorrow morning. With a full tank and a whole lot of courage, they press onward in hopes that conditions will calm down by sunrise. Facing Darkness At Sea Having covered half the 300-mile passage already, it becomes apparent that rounding this notorious tip won’t be an easy task. The impending darkness adds another layer of risk and danger to their already treacherous journey. The Blue Beauty Of New Zealand’s Waters Despite the adversity they face, the brothers remain in awe of the beautiful surroundings that New Zealand has to offer. The blue hues of the water coupled with the crashing waves make for an unforgettable scene on their wild journey. Final Preparations And Anxious Moments Just as they begin to think the worst is over, a new series of challenges arise. The tide begins to turn foul against them and the wind starts to die down just when they need it most. The Sailing Brothers Make Landfall After overcoming each challenge one by one, the Sailing Brothers successfully navigate their way through Sandy Bay and finally make landfall at their destination. They eagerly share stories of perseverance and the incredible bond they have built during this wild voyage. Reflections And Future Adventures The brothers reflect on their harrowing journey around the cape and look forward to exploring more of New Zealand’s breathtaking coasts. With a taste for adventure that remains unsatiated, this team continues to prove why they are true legends in the sailing community.
In this weeks episode we continue with the 300 nm passage to the very top of New Zealand
