We have only just arrived in Fiji and the men folk are leaving the boat likes rats from a sinking ship. Do they know something that the woman and children don’t?

When our cruising permit eventually arrived we were able to take Mike for a quick excursion to one of the beautiful islands just out of Vuda Marina, but nothing ever goes smoothly and the first time we drop the anchor in Fiji we get it stuck on the coral. Resulting in us needing a little helping hand to get away.

But that is really the least of our problem when we get back to the marina. As Jean de La Fontaine said “A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it.” Had we not decided to move the boat before Rob left, so that we wouldn’t have to move it on our own the following day, we wouldn’t have ended up with a broken rudder.

A big thank you to the talented artists who have allowed us to use their music.
In this episode
Cricket Farm – Bending spoons
Looking for Alaska – All that I am
Cricket Farm – Miss the bus
Cricket Farm – Nod and smile
Looking for Alaska – Kyles song
And to Paula Hudson from Te Pahu Sound Lounge for making the music happen.

Thank you Josh and Mike, the journey wouldn’t have been the same without you.
Thank you Gary Reid for your generosity.
