Sailing to our favorite island
One of the most amazing places to visit in New Zealand is the little island of Tiri Tiri Matangi. What
a little Gem of a place. Only three hours sail from downtown Auckland, or one hour on the ferry.
We have been visiting Tiri for the last five years and it never fails to put a smile on our faces. When the weather is warm the boys love jumping off the wharf, but all year round you can enjoy beautiful scenic bays and walks on well marked paths that criss cross the island. And to top it all off it plays host to some of New Zealands rarest birds.
Tiri Tiri Matangi is one of the most successful community lead conservation projects in the world.
Who better to share this magical place with than Cricket Farm, Simon Ross (Sims) and Hayley Robertson. This marvelous New Zealand duo have shared their music with us. It is their music you hear at the start of each and everyone of our vlogs.
In this vlog we take a walk on the island and see some of NZ rarest birds, then at night we go Kiwi spotting, catching a very rare sighting of a Kiwi pooing in the wild! and ran across a few tuatara too.
