GRATITUDE sailing at Fraser Island – first stern anchor Ep 97
Side on to the waves and chop, and at the mercy of the tide and wind, we set our first stern anchor, then set off to take a look at the beautiful world heritage listed, biggest sand island in the world, Fraser Island. Here we look at our top three picks of things to see, Eli Creek, SS Maheno shipwreck and Lake McKenzie. And even though it rained on our big day out we find time to be grateful for the things we have.
When we returned to the boat we have unfortunately anchored over an old underwater column and our anchor chain has become wrapped about around it.
