WaveRunner to Catalina Island

We take a WaveRunner trip from Long Beach Harbor to Two Harbors, Santa Catalina Island. Dolphins along the way, camping, hiking, diving and just some great adventure.

We pick up a camping permit from the Ranger and head off to our campsite. Our fellow campers who hiked in were short on water, so we took off on our waverunner and picked them up some essentials (which only took us 5 mins). They were so happy.

We camped overnight and when we went to leave the next day, the tide was low, so we had to wait for the tide to come up before we could launch our waverunner again.

We felt safe doing this trip with plenty of planning, having a marine radio with us, telling others where we were and when we’d be back, etc.

We had many more adventures ahead of us.

Great thanks to my adventure wife, Melissa for trusting me and being a great travel partner!

Red diamond rattlesnakes are everywhere right now. Beware. My father just got bit by one a few days ago and it’s just being released from the hospital today. He is going to rehab for a little while. This is a big rattlesnake right here.

I love rattlesnakes, but when they bite my father-in-law, that’s when they aren’t so cute. Beware of rattlesnakes in this unusual heat we’re having in California.
