Throwback Thursday Video – Year: 1999

Republic of Palau – A fun and exciting adventure in Palau. A lot of stuff packed into this video. Although I scuba dived at most of the popular sites (which were incredible and amazing), this video is strictly above water. Back in 1999 I only had an underwater camera, which didn’t take video.

In this video, I travel by boat through the beautiful rock islands, exploring the various hues of blue provided by sandy bottoms, amazing reefs and so much more. I explore a few World War II Japanese camps where there were still clothes, food cans and more left behind. We find an (presumed) American soldiers skeleton, see turtle shells and learn how they were once used for money, kayak in a shark pup (baby sharks) cave, go cliff diving, climb banyan trees to check out a secret cave. I also pay homage to Steve Irwin by reenacting some interactions with the local Palauan wildlife. I do some wakeboarding in crocodile waters, see manta rays, giant clams and much more. It’s a fun video.
