Niagara Falls in Canada, the Good and Bad
This video explains getting to Niagara Falls via the Buffalo New York entry point in through Canada. We stayed at Long Point Provincial Park and drove our Prius to Niagara Falls from our RV park.
If you are in an RV and have a tow vehicle, we suggest leaving your RV in the RV park and driving your tow vehicle into the Niagara Falls area.
Getting to Niagara Falls from the western side of the city leaves something to be desired. The city on the western side is old and looks like a cheap Las Vegas in the 1970s.
There were so many distractions in the city, it was difficult to find the actual falls. Once we did get to the Falls parking area, we were elated however.
We utilized the parking area across from the falls and it cost about $20 for our Prius. It was a short walk to the falls and the view was magnificent.
May was a good time to go since the tourist season had not hit yet. We believe that the view of the falls is better from the Canadian side versus the US side because it seems like there are more things to see.
We especially liked the parks across the street from the waterfalls and all the flowers were in springtime full-bloom.
We chose not to take the boat ride, looking back, we should have spent the $20 Per person for the ride.
Although the city was a little strange, we still think this is a bucket list location. #niagarafalls
