It was the Queens Jubilee weekend here in the UK and with our engine fixed, it was time to head on our first ‘longer’ sail. We picked Polkeris in South Cornwall to head to due to the protection from the Easterly wind and quiet setting.
On the way, we were greeted by a pod of dolphins- we couldn’t believe it! And despite a shackle holding the clew on the main sail coming off, with good friends, sea swims, fireworks and the peace that comes with waking up on anchor, it was an incredible trip.
Roll on more future sails!

Tŷ (a house) & llu (of numerous host). We are Becka and Zach and we want to give you the warmest welcome to the Teulu Tribe. Since meeting in 2018, it has always been our dream to buy a sailboat, and after lockdown and coming out of university, this idea seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane. However, we worked hard, gained experience and in March 2022 bought our dream sailboat, a 1987 Colvic Victor ketch. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on. So hop on board, join our Teulu and lets see what this ‘living’ business is all about.
