Whilst sailing in Cardiff, Wales last month, we were approached by a Coastguard Helicopter and after contacting us on the VHF, we realised they wanted to land on our boat. Here’s the footage i got from one of the craziest experience of my life!
Sorry if the noise of the helicopter is loud at points- It was hard to cut it out!

Since meeting in 2018, it has always been our dream to buy a sailboat, and after lockdown and coming out of university, this idea seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane. However, we worked hard, gained experience and in March 2022 bought our dream sailboat, a 1987 Colvic Victor ketch. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on. So hop on board, join our Teulu and lets see what this ‘living’ business is all about.
