It was all plain sailing (sorry about the pun) until we poked and prodded a sea cock a bit too hard and saw the dreaded pink shade, covering the through hull. *Gulp* So, rather than hopping straight onto antifouling, it was angle grinding, epoxy applying, Tru-design buying time. Despite it being a big unexpected repair, we learnt a lot and feel reassured that the contraptions that stop water from entering our boat, are new, shiny, solid, leak proof and resistant to the same corrosion the previous ones suffered.
Oh, and we also gave Teulu a little makeover.

Since meeting in 2018, it has always been our dream to buy a sailboat, and after lockdown and coming out of university, this idea seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane. However, we worked hard, gained experience and in March 2022 bought our dream sailboat, a 1987 Colvic Victor ketch. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on.
