The Summer Solstice ushered in our hot weather this year but we’re happy to have a big transom to provide some shade while we frame up our skeg. There is considerable lateral force on the skeg so we’ve decided to add 3 frames that will later be reinforced by lateral framing across the inside of the hull. Kay is the hero of the week. She noticed I had one of the frames 1 1/2″ inches out of place before I welded it in. I love my ship building partner. Really do.
