SV Seeker is back with a thrilling adventure! Instead of staying on the couch, we decided to hit the seas. From inspecting boats and tackling projects to exploring new waters, this episode showcases what it’s like to be active rather than sedentary.
As we started our adventure, our trusty fridge gave out. We knew we couldn’t make it without a working one so off Larry went to muscle it back on the shore where he took it to get fixed.
As we ventured further out into Big Lagoon Bay, we stumbled upon Peter and Debbie, seasoned sailors who keep themselves fit by racing their Mega 15 around the Gulf Coast.
We tackled some onboard issues, cleaning the coils of our fridge which we learned was crucial to prevent overheating and shutting down. Larry also came in handy for moving larger items around the boat.
Moving into the maintenance part of our adventure, we pulled up the anchor and tackled a host of projects including upgrading some cleats and replacing rusted pins with TIG rod. Even more exciting was the practice run with Robert as he used hydraulic controls to inspect various parts on deck.
The community around the harbor always adds a fun and interesting twist. We met Pete and his friends who gave us Koozies, spent time with our pal Michael and even picked up advice on fishing from Mallorie.
As we wrap up this segment of our journey, preparations are in full swing – fueling up, making necessary repairs and even learning about fishing from Mallorie. Robert ensures all systems onboard are checked while Darwin takes a moment to update his fans on the happenings at sea.
We hope this adventure inspires you to leave the couch behind and get out into nature. No matter if it’s on water or in a shop, being active brings so much more joy than being sedentary.

Life is an adventure. But you have to take the first step.
