There’s a lot of talk online about “cheap” or “expensive” boat life, but very little real-world detail. So we’ve put together our actual yearly cruising budget, including fuel, marinas, communications, consumables, and the many hidden costs people don’t always mention.
Our typical annual cruising cost comes to around €5,300 per year, but that number can vary depending on where you cruise, how often you use marinas, and how much work you do yourself.
