In this episode of SV Impavidus, we explore the stunning Keover (also known as Kova) anchorage area on the southern coast of Turkey. Our journey begins with a trip to the local market in Finike, where we stock up on fresh fruit and vegetables, grown locally within just 2 or 3 miles of the market itself. As the watermelons and cherries are plentiful, we make sure to grab some kilos for an excellent price – just 70 Turkish Lira for a kilo of cherries, equating to £45 per pound at the time.
With a full load of delicious produce, we continue on to the nearby village. The water here may be a little murky, but it piqued our curiosity nonetheless. Anchoring up in Keover, which is down from Hassan’s and just near the Kover restaurant, also known as the Kova Fish Restaurant, we take some time to explore the area further.
While enjoying a relaxing meal and beverage at one of the local restaurants, a few guests notice our filming setup and ask about our YouTube channel. It’s through these encounters that we learn more about the village as well. In turn, they suggest that any new drone orders can be delivered right to the Kover restaurant, proving once again that the small community atmosphere thrives here.
Shortly after our arrival in Keover, we encountered an issue with Derek – our drone – as his gimbal stopped working during a flight. This would normally not be a huge problem if it were not for one thing – you, the Patreon supporters who have recently helped us purchase new batteries.
We thought we had charged the new batteries enough to sustain a 10-minute flight, and as soon as I took off, it indicated that the batteries immediately went down to just 2%! In an emergency landing in our dinghy, I suspect that something there must have damaged the gimbal or camera, causing us some frustration.
Rest assured that while we experienced this little setback, we’ve been fortunate enough to be able to replace the damaged components with the help of our amazing Patreon patrons. Their continued support keeps us sailing towards more breathtaking adventures.

The Drone is Dead! On to Kekover. But first, to the market to feed the BBQ!
In this video we make it to Finike and stop over to get to the fantastic market again. We move on to Kekover which is one of our favorites. Traveling just suits us and we love going back to places to see how they have changed. Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid
Welcome to our channel.
We are now in season 7
In 2018 we left the UK to sail around the world slowly. After Brexit, a "Pandemic" and major heart surgery we are still sailing, documenting our travels and showing you what we have learned so far.
We are hoping to complete our journey, and travel right around the world even if we have had a few setbacks along the way. We will continue at our own pace and that may be fast or slow. We want to be sure not to miss anything and have stories to tell our grandchildren when we are old and grey.
Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.
We do have a second channel YOUR DRONE TV It is a mix of music from classical to blues, from Opera to Punk all with stunning drone footage.
