We are getting straight into this week and putting adventure Slim & Soph in action. We are hiking up to the top of the falls we can see while aboard anchored Nakama. This has to be the first waterfall we have stumbled across while anchored in a bay; there’s something so special about the ocean and rainforest worlds colliding. After climbing to another level, we are greeted with a natural infinity pool that looks onto Nakama anchored in the bay. We find an epic diving pool with fresh turquoise water, I think we have found our new favourite place. However, there is only so much exploring we can do because we must press on in search of the internet to start studying for exams and catching up on work. So, we pull up anchor and begin our day’s journey past an epic mountain view and continue on to the family islands. We brush our teeth because we are reuniting with our dear friends Connor and Oliwia!

Welcome aboard SV Nakama, We are Slim & Soph a young Aussie couple tryna get by living aboard our tiny retro sailboat with our cat Chilli. We sail the Australian coastline whilst attending university online and take you with us. After putting study on the back burner for years as we didn’t want to sacrifice adventure, we thought why not have both? Fed up with the outrageous rental prices in our hometown, the idea of doing it afloat came to mind. We figured we could scrape by on our tight student budget if we stopped paying way too much rent and lived minimally on the ocean, whilst continuing our passion for adventure. The plan for now, is to keep sailing onwards, keeping Australia to our left and once we're done doing that...Who knows. Our mission is to prove that anyone can do it, you don’t need the fanciest boat or a squillion bucks, just a whole lot of ambition and a willingness to make mistakes and learn.
