Exciting news - what’s next for Tally Ho!

In this video, Leo, a boat builder and sailor who bought the very old wooden Tally Ho! sailing boat for just $1, provides an exciting update on the project’s progress. The focus is on real-time happenings, giving viewers insights into ongoing projects, upcoming plans for the boat, videos, and adventures.

Progress of Tallo

In recent months, Leo has been working hard on getting Tally Ho! ready to sail this summer. The team has been putting in a lot of effort, with the aim of taking the boat out for an enjoyable sailing season.

Upcoming Shakedown Cruise

The big milestone is fast approaching – Tally Ho! is leaving the dock on July 29th for a week-long trip to the San Juan Islands. This shakedown cruise aims to take the boat out sailing properly, get to know it better and have an enjoyable summer. After this, they might venture further north to Haida Gwai.

Changes in Upcoming Videos

The boat’s journey will see some exciting changes happening. The videos during this period will showcase the projects completed before Tally Ho! was launched, as well as current ones like sailing, adventures, people met, and ongoing work on the boat. They’ll be a mix of Woodworking, Adventure and Sailing content.

Future Plans for Tally Ho! and Team

The team is not quite sure about their plans after the sailing begins. Some will stay at the workshop while others, like Leo and almost all of the build crew, will join on the initial trip to the San Juans. They may bring Tally Ho! back to the yard for further work after a couple of months.

Past Projects yet to be Documented

Despite being on the water, Leo plans to look back at the boat-building process and make several overview videos, covering projects over many years. He also aims to create philosophical content about the boat building and his perspectives on it.

Rewards of Boat Building and Sailing

One of the most rewarding outcomes has been the interest of viewers who have begun learning about boats, sailing or building a boat themselves, or connected with someone who shares their passion. Leo emphasizes that sailing isn’t just about high standards – it’s about enjoying time on the water with loved ones.

Thank You to Viewers

Leo ends by thanking everyone who have followed, donated and been involved in the project. They mean a lot to him and without them, Tally Ho!’s incredible rebuild wouldn’t have been possible.

The Future

As the boat heads out on its next journey, there are new challenges and adventures to come. Viewers can look forward to more inspiring stories from Leo’s sailing escapades and life at sea with Tally Ho!
