We’re setting off across the Atlantic for a 5000 mile or a 9000 km journey from Saint Martin to Poland. It is the longest non-stop passage for the captain, the boat, and her crew. Please join us to find out how we are approaching it. We’ll discuss the following areas:
⛵Emergency & safety equipment (boat & medical)
⛵Provisioning
⛵Boat/equipment preparation/inspections, complexity vs. utility vs. reliability/simplicity, what to pack that is truly needed and useful, but no more so as not to systems maintenance, energy management.
⛵Crew makeup and number/comfort/handling in normal vs. emergency mode (is the crossing only for highly experienced?, timing/reserves, commitments), experience, health, and preparation.
⛵Maintenance and repairs enroute (spares, tools, materials, know-how. external support)
⛵Strategy and routing based on WX and performance, weather window, optimum routing (safety, equipment use and abuse, comfort, speed)
⛵Contingency planning – alternate/emergency destinations and help availability, autonomy considerations, backup equipment, medical and equipment emergencies.
⛵Communications – satellite, VHF, EPIRB, PLB.
⛵Watchkeeping – automation vs. human, AP/radar/AIS
⛵Fast multihull considerations and differences.
As usual we’ll also happily answer your questions.
ATTENTION !!!
There is still one opening for the crossing. If you’d like to take part in this epic journey please read the following https://sailoceans.com/blog/2021/01/26/sailing-adventure-with-bartek-dawidowski-across-the-atlantic-ocean/ and contact us.

OUR STORY:
We are a Polish family (Ania, Bartek, Kuba and Julian) traveling around the world with our floating home trimaran, as a way to promote an alternative lifestyle outside the system. In our episodes, we want to inspire you to a conscious life, to reach your own needs, feelings, not to put your dreams (small and large) to “sometime”, and bring awareness into our lives. Your support shows us that this awakening of awareness about life outside the system is needed and you want more!
If you feel that our creation is valuable to you, brings something to your everyday life and would like to contribute to the growth of our channel, our production, we will be grateful for your gratitude.
We have prepared a lot of extras for our patrons, we invite you to a closed group on facebook “The LOVE Boat – SailOceans Patrons Community”, where we publish additional content and videos.
Thank you with all our hearts for your commitment and involvement and we’re repaying with ours ❤️
